This bag rocks I travel a lot. I *never* check my bags when traveling on planes. I dig this bag. I always take one carry-on and one bag in the overhead storage bin when flying no matter where I go (yes, including India). Best features: Swappable skate board wheels!! (I really like the idea of customizing my bags and often do customize my bags with stickers, etc.) Hint: you guys should offer customizable wheels on your site. Better yet, offer customizable bags. Outside pouch will hold my laptop - and it's padded! when going through security - easy to take out and put back. Tapered end maximizing space in the overhead (this is a 'no duh' feature, surprise it wasn't out there earlier). Zippered inner pouches so that my stuff isn't everywhere when I open the bag. Handles on every side - you can grab and lug, throw, toss this bag where it needs to be, you don't have to wrestle with it. What's needed: The outside zippered pouch that holds my laptop has a couple of inner pockets, sure wish these had zippers on them. Rotating hand grip on the extended handle when you are towing it. Good, not quite great I'm a frequent traveler for work and I was looking for a durable, lightweight roll aboard to replace the slightly-too-large model I've been towing. The Checkpoint bag succeeds in the lightweight category. It appears durable, but only time will tell. Replaceable wheels should help - those have gone bad on previous bags (e.g. after dragging through the streets of Paris for hours looking for a hotel). The handle feels solid and the plastic bumper guards on the back and bottom look sturdy. The large zippered pocket on the front of the bag is great for storing a laptop and retrieving it quickly for TSA. Unfortunately, the two smaller pockets inside the large pocket are almost useless. They *desperately* need a zipper or velcro closing mechanism. Anything I put in those pockets is going to slide out and end up in the bottom of the big section where it's difficult to reach and crunched under my laptop. That leads me to my only other complaint: there aren't any small and quick external pockets - well, except for the ticket pocket, but that's only useful for tickets. The ticket pocket is tall and narrow and hugs tightly to the bag, though it also doesn't have any kind of cinch on top. It's a great place to store your ticket when you arrive at the airport until you get on the plane. When the bag goes horizontal, though, I'd put it somewhere more secure. The ticket pocket is too deep and too tight to the bag to hold much else. Oddly, there are two of them, so I don't know what you'd put in the other one. Also, they hug the corner of the bag which makes for some nearly unusable pocket space. What I'd really like is a small, convenient and secure exterior pocket where I can put my passport and my car keys. The Checkpoint doesn't have this. I'd also welcome a larger and much less secure external pocket where I could put a newspaper or magazine. I'd like to suggest using the location of the two straps on the front of the bag. Actually, I could just slip my newspaper under these straps if there was something to prevent it sliding out the bottom - maybe the bottom edge of the bottom strap should be sewn to the bag. But, onto more of the positives: the interior of the bag seems roomy and well thought-out. I like the shoe pocket which seems to be air-tight enough to hold my running shoes. The other two pockets also have zippers (yea!) and they're convenient and spacious for toiletries or other small to medium items that would otherwise slide around and get lost under your clothes. I especially like that the bag is not rigid in all three dimensions (unlike my previous bag). It can collapse a little front to back and slightly top to bottom. That helps the bag only take up only as much space as you pack into it - if you pack lightly, you should be able to squeeze your bag into a tighter slot in the overhead. If you're going for a whole week, you can cram it full and it will definitely still fit if you get on the plane early enough. (Note to bag designers - a few tweaks to the shape of the rigid plastic shell could take this flexibility even further. Every centimeter counts those times when you're in the last group to board.) The handles on all sides were a good idea. In summary - this is a very good bag, but with a few minor changes, Timbuk2 could turn this into the greatest bag to ever go in an overhead bin. Not built for the long haul After 8 months of carry-on only use, the handle snapped right off while walking onto a speedramp. It seemed destined to happen, as the handle apparatus appeared flimsy from day one. Manufacturer's warranty covered a replacement (they can't/won't fix it), but when I checked one out, they still hadn't properly upgraded the handle. If they did that, it would be a really nice bag--very maneuverable and fits easily in most any overhead. But until then, there are lots of better bags built for the long haul in this price range.

It is a bit expensive, but you have to consider that this will probably last twenty years or more if you take care of your luggage. How much have YOU spent over the last few years on cheap luggage? nice assortment of sizes - medium weight plastic I purchased a set of these about a year ago - they are great - come in handy for all sorts of small items when packing and storing things around the house and for travel. Medium weight plastic. Perfect for travel This set is tops. You get seven bags to put little things in for travel. They are easy to see, stay intact, and are altogether when you need them. The bags are reinforced, but clear enough to see through. Hard to find. Simply great. I purchased two sets. Travelon pouches These look better on the website, but they are quite useful. very strong and lightweight As part of my effort to carry less on a trip and to not have to check my bags, I bought this and have been very pleased. It does not come with a shoulder strap, so I used one from another bag I had. The top pocket holds an Eagle Creek 18 pack-it folder. I filled the interior with a few packing cubes and my toiletry kit and everything was organized, and did not sag like an unstructured backpack normally would. The cinching straps on the inside and outside of the bag help you stay within the carry-on size requirements. My new favorite suitcase I bought this so that I could carry my carry-on luggage on my back and free up my hands to get my son around the airport since it was only the two of us traveling. I decided that I didn't want to get a rolling suitcase because I needed both hands to be free. This is my new favorite suitcase! In addition to a very roomy rectangular shaped main compartment (unlike most backpacks that are teardrop shaped), this bag has several additional compartments to keep other items organized. This bag is so well designed that everything that I needed/wanted was there. There were easily accessible pockets to keep boarding passes in, a convenient place to put my wallet, a hook for my keys, seemingly water proof pockets to put the liquids so that are easy to remove for airport security. I was so organized on this trip that it was virtually worry free; I never had to look for anything; I knew where it was. This bag has a very logical design and seems to be sturdily constructed. It easily fit into overhead compartments on larger airplanes. It is the largest bag that airlines allow for carry on luggage. The straps are very generously sized and it has a chest and a waist belt as well. Although I didn't need to use either of these, I am sure they would come in handy on a hiking or a walking vacation. I used this to travel for a weekend and packed for two people in it. It all fit easily. (Well one of us is an infant and has smaller stuff!) I can't speak highly enough about this bag. It is truly terrific. Perfect You'll bypass checking baggage with this backpack. I pack sloppy and can fit enough clothes/items in it for 1 week. If you travel more frequently (and thus are probably more organized when it comes to packing), you could likely fit even more. The padded straps are comfortable, and the whole thing fits nicely in the overhead bin. I've used it many times, and I'm very pleased with the purchase!

Good but does not withstand abuse I bought this suitcase about a year ago. I has been all around the world. Like one of the reviewers mentioned, the zipper pulls break quite easily, I think mines broke on my first trip. The positives: this suitcase is really light, it expands a lot so you can take a lot of stuff and check it in, and the handle bar is quite long, which is nice for tall people. The negative: on my last trip to Germany, the lower-front part came ripped. I don't know if I should blame delsey for the quality, or just the Delta crew at either JFK or TXL. I had a samsonite before this one and it lasted for about 5 years. I decided to buy a Travelpro that was on sale as my next bag, as I need a bag that can withstand the regular abuse from airports and airlines around the world. Defective Zipper Pulls The zipper pulls on my delsey luggage broke off after 2 trips. They are under warranty but Delsey wants me to pay shipping to have it sent to a luggage repair center. This is unacceptable. The design of the pulls is very bad such that the metal peg that holds them in place breaks off and is not replaceable. Do not buy this luggage. Our bag broke and Delsey does NOT stand behind their product We bought this bag for our daughter because it was available in pink and lightweight. After ONE trip through TSA and carrying it on board, one of the back black guards tore half way off. We first called eBags and were told they could do nothing. We then called Delsey and were extremely disappointed. They do not have a repair center in Houston (the 4th largest city in the nation)!!! We would have to incur shipping charges to send it to one of Delsey's approved repair centers. If we had used the bag for more than one flight - or checked it underneath the aircraft - I might think some expense should be on our end. However, I fully expect a brand new bag to last more than a flight; and if it does not, Delsey should stand behind it. The only thing the customer service rep had to tell me is that many of their customers are frustrated with the lack of repair centers. We will NOT be purchasing any other Delsey bags in the future.

Good solid luggage I got this set just the other day and love it. The color is a nice understated brown with a deeper chocolate brown trim. The pieces are a good size and the zippers are made of good hardware. It's lightweight and easy to roll or pull up. Good legs and laundry netting inside. Lining is good too, it comes unzipped for washing purposes. Only thing I don't care for is that it didn't come with matching luggage tags. Don't waste your money. My husband and I received a set of American Flyer luggage. Even though it comes with a 5 year warrantee, it is only as good as the paper it is written on, in my opinion. Before we had had the luggage 2 years, we had replaced three handles on it. You see, you have the option of sending it back to them, with proof of purchase and $12 so they can replace what is broken. However, you can send them $25 , which seemed much easier to us, than going through the whole process of finding a box big enough to ship it to them and then pay to have it shipped to and from ..... We have purchased two handles so far, and the last handle we bought from them lasted from the time I put it on the suitcase till I carried it to the bottom of the stairs. The material used on this luggage is attractive, however, after going to stores and inspecting other luggage made by other companies, these handles are poorly constructed. So, feel free to spend your money on these suticases. Just don't expect much. I was in the process of purchasing yet another handle for the third one that broke, but my husband reminded me that with the money we had spent on these, we could have a new suitcase so have decided to do that instead!

A Classy Gift I purchased this as a gift for my mother, and am seriously considering knocking out the bulk of my Christmas shopping with this gem. It is beautifully constructed, and an awesome deal. And it is surprisingly big, think holds 20 pairs of jeans large. Too big to practically use for work, but the most sophisticated overnight bag I've come across. Anything you can get DVF for fifty or less is always a steal, but this is lunacy. stylish and practical This tote is both stylish and practical. I bought to complete my travel luggage. Quality Product I've purchased a set of this about 7+ years ago. I've mainly used the 25" and 21" bags the most. The 21" is allowed to go onto the plane as a carry-on. I've used the 25" and 21" yearly for my int'l + domestic travels. Its seen some brutal baggage handling but still works perfectly. The wheels are definitely good quality and never had any problems with it. The interior handles is the perfect length and makes wheeling the bags easy. I usually put a heavy duffel bag on top of the 21" and wheel both bags together that way. The 2.5" expansion is really great when you go on trips. BUT the problem is when you expand the bags, it tends to fall over since the weight becomes a bit uneven. The top front pocket is pretty small but good for holding tags or small things. The bottom front pocket can hold quite a lot of stuff. Overall this is a great quality bag. When I purchased this a few years ago I got it at a discount in Macy's. I figure because the entire set was purchased so cheaply, the quality of this bag might be poor and probably wont last through 2-3 int'l flights. I'm glad to find that I'm wrong and definitely love this luggage set. Lightweight I just purchased this reasonably priced luggage due to my need for some very lightweight suitcases. I have more expensive luggage- but this is going to save me on my upcoming trip when I will be traveling on an airline that is very restrictive about weight. Update (9/20/08): I bought this luggage in 2006 and have abused it quite a bit since that time. The luggage remains in good condition and I can now say that not only is it lightweight but it is also VERY durable! Great quality Item arrived in a timely manner. Zippers seem much more substantial than others we've used. Wheels move freely. VERY pleased.

Great bag, great company I bought my Armor Traveler five years ago and have been pleased with it since I got it. The overall construction is excellent with very high quality zippers and convenient pockets. The rollers are nice and glide easily on almost any surface. This bag has been with us on 10+ dive vacations with out any problems. Until we went to Belize this summer. On arrival I noticed that one wheel was gone! The plate that held it on was broken. We struggled a bit getting home with a 50 pound bag with one wheel. We got home and promptly forgot to contact Armor about the problem. Then when we were pulling our gear out for another trip remembered the problem. So with two weeks until departure, my wife called Armor and was told that if she would second day ship it to them they would do their best to have it back in time for our trip. She took the bag to UPS and sent it to them. I figured that there was no way the bag would be back in time. Much to my surprise the bag came in less than a week later with a perfect repair. So I give both the bag and the company top marks. If you need a durable well made bag that is backed fully by the manufacturer Armor is the way to go.

Great Luggage I learned of Briggs & Riley from a salesman in Las Vegas during a recent vacation. Briggs & Riley Baseline 22" Carry-On Expandable Just purchased and received my Briggs & Riley Baseline 22" Carry-On Expandable. I've been on 3 trips so far with it and love it. It's well made, and also well designed on the inside. Most of my trips are for business and there is ample space for packing dress pants and a suit jacket. Good Luggage for a Great Price This 3-piece set of luggage sells for about the same price as just one piece of the competition and seems sturdy enough. Only time will tell, but you cannot beat the price. I got a luggage strap with a TSA lock built in for a few bucks and now I'm set. I did not notice any kind of odor, as others have commented and the set arrived well packaged in mint shape. Now I'll just have to use them to see how they hold up, but at this price you can't go wrong. Only thing I miss is outside pockets! The spinner wheels really help when you are standing in a slow line...takes the strain off of holding up the handle of a two wheeler.

Awesome Bag The wheels are so easily manipulated so it's easy to pull. It holds a lot of stuff, but it's small enough to pass as carry on. Really great if you have to travel a lot. Great Carry On I just bought this item and am quite impressed with it. I bought it because it conforms to most airline's carry on requirements (It's 41 cubic inches). I was worried when the box arrived because it was only 4 inches thick--I thought they sent me the wrong pack because it was so thin; I would find out, however, that this is part of the genius of the design. The bottom of the suitcase is flexible, with the wheels-side acting as a pivot-point. Thus, if you do not need to fully pack the case, it will remain ultra thin. If you pack more, the bottom folds out to accommodate the material. So, if you are only going on a weekend trip, you will have no problem putting this under the seat in front of you. If you pack more, it will easily fit in the overhead bin on the aircraft. The zippers are thick, there are lots of pockets for toiletries (so it's easy to pull them out at security in their little plastic baggie) and documents, and it seems to be coated with plastic to make it waterproof. The wheels are also well-placed and are made of rubber (which makes them quiet and sturdy), but the handle extension bars could be a bit thicker; however, I'm tall, so I appreciate that the handle extends to a comfortable length, which allows me to walk without having the thing bump up against my feet all the time. So, it's a well-designed, nifty little carry on that I'm quite happy with. Rock and Roll I bought this bag on the recommendations read here. I was flying to Florida and didn't want to check any luggage. This bag had plenty of room for everything I needed for a week and would be fine if you wanted to carry it as a duffel bag. However, if you plan to rush from your car to the airport and then through the airport to the gate, don't plan on rolling with this bag. It wobbled from side to side so badly that I had to carry it, defeating its purpose. I thought maybe it was the way I had packed, so on the way home, I only packed clothes in the main section and bought a bag to carry my other things. It made no difference at all. If you want a bag you can easily roll through airports, don't buy this one. nice size, but rolls poorly wheels are too small and close together and rolls well only on very smooth surfaces pocket design and capacity for legal carry-on size is very good.

Do not buy! While the Flightable V1600 is made using good, sturdy materials that will hold up for a long time, it won't need it because you won't use it more than once or twice. First, the handle is of a good length, but doesn't lock well so you can't push the bag, and if going down a decline the bag has a tendency to roll forward because the handle doesn't hold. Second, the inside of the bag is just like any suitcase. The laptop holding area are a couple of straps on the bottom, but there is no protection for the computer. You will need a case to protect your computer, and then if you want to pack anything else, it will all fit on top of your computer. Third, the wheels are small and recessed a little behind the table. This means that it will not be pulled up stairs easily. Fourth, the table folds out well, but if you need to work on anything you've packed you'll need to open the bag, unpack the bag, pull out what you want to work on (you're computer is underneath everything), put your stuff on the floor, repack what you don't need, close the bag, put the bag upright, unfold the table, pick your stuff up from off the floor, work, put your stuff back on the floor, fold up the table, open the bag, take all your stuff out, repack all your stuff, close the bag. Fifth, the table is made of sturdy plastic, but with it's location near the ground and with the other rolling plastic wheels it builds up a lot of static electricity and picks up everything off the ground from pet hair on carpeting to leaves and seeds on sidewalks so when you unfold your table you get a bunch of junk sitting on it and need to clean it before use. There are just too many design flaws to make it worthwhile. I can't see recommending a bag where the manufacturers not only forgot to employ basic physics principles but also threw out using common sense. Flightable V1600E This is a very useful item for someone on the move. If you need a table while traveling, this is the way to go. This model is not well designed for carring a laptop. I purchased and suggest the V2500 if you want to carry a laptop in the luggage. Flightable Carry-On Luggage I found after I purchased this product that there were three different models and would have preferred one other than the one I got. That being said, I LOVE the luggage, it's rugged, wheels work great and table is pretty sturdy!

Nice bag, but ... I love hideo luggage and got this bag because we were going on a trip and needed a new checkin. This came in rather handy, however, I will note that the front (the side with the wave picture) is SEE THROUGH! Yea. I didn't know that when I purchased it. Had I known, I might not have gotten it. I just now know that I must line it with a blanket or something (which adds weight and lessens the room for other stuff) before I pack my clothes. Great Laptop Bag I have a 17in HP laptop and it was nearly impossible to find a bag for it, let alone a properly padded one to protect the machine during travel. This bag fits the bill. I have traveled on the train and a plane with this one, and it kept my laptop safe; it fit under the seat like the airline required; it was easy to access for the security checkpoint; and the bag is roomy enough to hold extra items, which saved me having to check luggage (which now costs a ridiculous fee). You really cannot go wrong with this bag--even if you have a smaller machine, buy this bag. It looks great, it is sleek and easy to carry and has room for everything you will ever need, and then some. It is also versatile, having both handles to carry it like a briefcase, and a detachable shoulder strap. Also, the image seems to have been corrected--the proper picture is displayed here. The backpack version isn't as nice and has "alienware" icons and name-branding all over it, which looks cheesy and cheap. This bag is really nice and looks professional--the Alienware icons are subtle and very minimal. Solid! Excellent construction and very tough. I use this case to carry on photo equipment when I fly. It meets all airline requirements. I recently went from San Francisco to Romania via Germany and in all instances it was legal size. It even fit in the overhead for the small 25 passenger turbojet prop planes. It is also well padded with 3/4 inch+ inserts and thick top, bottom, and side padding as well. It's virtually crush proof because of the solid plastic bottom that comes up a few inches on all sides, and the sides are hard and reinforced also. Everything about this case is bullet proof, the wheels, handle, fabric, everything. It also folds down into a flat, long platform that accepts 150lbs on top of it, acting like a luggage carrier itself. The only problem I have with it is that the pop-up handle is a little short for me, but I'm over 6'3" tall too. For anyone 6' or less it would be fine.

Great Travel Luggage Solution
Packing using the Hovercraft 22 with the associated packing inserts worked like a charm and I was able to get a week's worth of clothes in. The only problem was fitting it into the overhead storage. When using all the pockets it was a real struggle to cram it in to the overhead. This is the only reason I did not give this 5 stars.

Eagle Creek...high quality stuff
Fits easily into the overhead on every flight I've taken thus far. Outside pocket is a great place to stash the quart ziplock bag of liquids/gels that needs to be taken out at the security check. I own a number of Eagle Creek (EC) items, and they have all performed well. I particularly like the light weight because of the recently enforced baggage weight limits imposed by the airlines (including carry-ons). EC makes stuff that is about as light as is possible while maintaining good structure. When I'm in the market for a new piece, I always consider doing much cheaper luggage available at places like Costco. But once I see the weight of that stuff I always seem to end up with an EC product. On a recent trip to India a previous EC purchase (Tarmac) saved me more than it's total cost by allowing me to stay barely under the weight limits on 13 flight segments. Another nice aspect of EC products is that they design for the use of their packing cubes. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend them. It allows the unpacking of the bag in a hotel in less than a minute, and keeps stuff organized. I wouldn't travel without their shirt folder. I highly recommend the EC Hovercraft 22.

Awesome bag, but tips over when stood up on end
This bag is awesome, nice and roomy. I did receive many compliments at the airport about how great looking it was. The only complaint I have is when it is tipped up it falls over. I think if someone would have placed feet at the top end of it that it would stand better. I had to keep leaning it against something. Simply the best wheeled luggage I've ever owned.
I purchased this model Osprey from my local trekking store last year for a trip to New England where I bounced this great product over the curbs of New York City and Boston as well as a few country roads. The Osprey takes it all in stride. I liked mine so much I purchased the larger version for a one month trip to India earlier this year.--no problems at all. I fully expect this will be the last luggage I ever have to purchase. I even bought this model as a gift for my mother-in-law who lives in Haiti so you know it's rugged.

Incredible Quality

Great piece of luggage
I took this bag on an 8 day trip and was able to fit all my stuff in there pretty handily. The pockets on the inside flap allow you to open the bag without everything falling everywhere each time you open it. If you haven't bought new luggage recently, you'll be surprised how light this one is. Get one of the colored bags, it definitely stands out on the luggage carousel.

Versatile and tough luggage
Our family now owns one of these per person, including one previous generation model that must be five years old by now. They have proven themselves to be versatile, easy to operate, stable even on bad surfaces and very tough. We use them with Eagle Creek's packing system most of the time to organize the contents better. There are a few downsides to this sort of luggage to be aware of. Many modes of transportation are set up for ordinary luggage, so it might be hard to get the trunk into the allotted spaces. This has never been a major problem, but I've noticed it while on various trains in Switzerland and Germany. Flights have no problem with the size, but here you have to be conscious that the trunk can pack more that you may have weight allowance. This is one of the reasons we now have one per family member: so that we can distribute the weight. Lastly, carrying the trunk is not as convenient as ordinary luggage, however with all the handles and grips it is is easy to lift it for short distances. Luckily, modern airports and stations are built with few stairs.
On the upside, even the oldest trunk we have has not broken once. The wheels still work just as well as new. All the corners show abrasion through airport mistreatment, but nothing has broken or ripped. The latest generation trunk has been built with stronger feeling material even though the previous generation also did the trick.
We also discovered that we can fit two of these trunks side-by-side in our Mini Clubman so we can use the rather limited space in the Clubman optimally.

This bag is stylish and durable. And the cell phone pouch is big enough to hold a iPod Touch or iPhone!

I'm a bit disappointed because the product information said that this bag was designed to hold a 15.4" laptop. However my MacBook Pro does not completely fit in the pouch (the pouch is not deep enough). The velcro on the flap just barely catches the velcro on the bag (so it doesn't look sleek as pictured).

If I add anything else to the bag, then the flap's velcro doesn't even come into contact with the velcro on the bag.

Comfortable and right-sized
I'm pretty happy with this bag. It looks good, it wears very well, very comfortably. My favorite aspect of it is that it holds my SLR camera and lenses very nicely, it's got a lot of space front-to-back without feeling bulky or thick. The only negative for me is the velcro closure for the main flap, I wish it had a quick-release buckle instead. It's very noisy to open and close. Otherwise, very nice construction and materials, swell bag.

Great computer bag if you own a laptop
I like this bag for its ability to hold a laptop computer, but I dont like how the top of the bag doesnt zipper shut, only with velcro. If I were to use this bag daily, I dont think the velcro closings would last to long for me. Thats why I bought the "Tilt" model by Osprey too.
